GLR Taj was the last cria born on the GLR ranch in 2013. And what a way for him to end up our birthing season. This little guy, at the time they thought to be one of their very best cria born on the ranch that year. He is an absolute clone of his sire, GLR Kolaqua, who was a two time AOBA Grey Color Champion. He has the tell tale wrinkled skin that comes with density which doesn't surprise us, as his dad's first shearing weight was almost 12 pounds. He had more wrinkles in fact than any other grey they have ever produced on their ranch. His mother GLR Tashi, is the daughter of GLR Tica who was a Color Champion and one of the very first colored Judges Choices.He has a pedigree packed with colored genetics, excellent fiber characteristics and conformation and we have high hopes that this young boy will be as successful as his papa both in the show ring and as a breeder of champion offspring. His full sister, GLR Tashina was the Reserve Grey Female Color Champion as a juvenile at the 2013 AAA Futurity and MAPACA and Grey Color Champion at the 2014 AOA Nationals. GLR Tashina ended her show careers by being named the very first grey Judges Choice, male or female. Taj at 25 months old, had a micron of 19.3. His regrowth is impressive and he has matured superbly. He has taken his place in our stud row and we are actively using him in our breeding program this year. We look forward to seeing what he produces in 2017.

GLR Black Jewel is a dense lustrous true black daughter of GLR Black Pearls, one of Brad's and Jandy's Shavano daughters out of a super dense mom named MIdnight Rock. Midnight Rock has been an outstanding producer for them over the years. Black Jewel has a packed pedigree of true black genetics, notable for excellent fiber characteristics, conformation and coverage. Her sire Cinders, 2016, 2017 and 2019 Dark Herd Sire of the Year, 2018 Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year , has produced offspring that have been making waves in the show ring the past few years.

Black Jewel is bred to the up and coming super star GLR Taj for a late summer 2020 cria! Black Jewel's first cria 2019, Vayna of Halo is a stunning black female born at a whopping 24.5lbs. Jewel is a large big boned female with amazing fleece characteristics and wonderful lock structure and we couldn't be more proud of her and look forward to seeing future offspring as she is a foundation/production female for Halo Ranch.

Description

Bali is a stunning true black female with exact conformation and silky fleece exhibiting extreme luster with smooth hand. She brings some outstanding genetics to the Pines Edge herd with GLR's Shavano, as well as MacGyver, on both sides of her pedigree. Bali's dam, GLR Black Jewel, is a Cinders daughter and Shavano granddaughter and she passes along outstanding fleece characteristics, solid conformation and bone structure. Bali's sire, GLR Taj, brings champion gray genetics, with a bit of Condor and Accoyo Rockstar and Taj contributes fineness with a micron of just 19 at over 2 years of age. Bali began her show career by earning a 1st Place, Blue Ribbon at the 2021 Futurity. More recently she was named Res Champion in Walking Fleece at GWAS.
